CDL Drug Policies

Did you know that the DOT mandates that all CDL drivers operating a Commercial Motor Vehicle with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating greater than 26,000 lbs be enrolled in a random drug testing program? And that this program must be covered by a policy that is completely separate from any other company-wide Drug & Alcohol policies you might have in place? You are free to include them in a company program as well, but according to 49 CFR Part 40, your drivers must be tested separately.

If you don’t currently have a separate Drug & Alcohol policy for your drivers or if your existing policy is outdated or non-compliant, DCH has developed a quick and easy way for you to create your own Custom Driver Drug & Alcohol Policy that complies completely with the regulations.
