Mock Audit Process
Prior to our mock audit, we send a Pre-Audit Checklist that can be used to begin to get organized. For the actual mock audit process, our Safety Consultants use the same software (CAPRI) that the DOT uses to perform their Compliance Reviews. This allows us to provide our clients with a detailed output of any and all violations that we uncover in the same format as the DOT. Our Safety Consultants are as thorough (if not more so) than most DOT investigators . The bottom line is that if we are being compensated to find all of the problems, we have an obligation to our clients to be as comprehensive as possible. Depending on the size and type of operation, most audits can be completed in one day.
In addition to the list of violations found, we also develop a much more user-friendly work plan that can be used to resolve any issues. This "Road to Compliance" report will help organize and prioritize the work load so that all major violations (any Critical or Acute) are corrected immediately and the minor, less-serious issues can be fixed over time.
