Onsite Training
The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration states that whether you have 2 trucks or 200 trucks, the following training is mandated:
New-Driver Training-
All CDL drivers with less than 1 year of driving experience must have New-Driver Training as part of the FMCSA Regulations, Part 380.
Supervisor Drug & Alcohol Training-
The FMCSA/DOT regulations state, “Employers must provide training to all persons who supervise drivers subject to the regulations, in accordance with §382.603”. The DOT Alcohol and Drug Testing Regulations require a minimum of 60 minutes of alcohol and 60 minutes of drug awareness training for supervisors of safety-sensitive employees.
Both the New-Driver Training and Supervisor Drug & Alcohol Training are covered with onsite training, as well as many other important topics.
